The rapids near Long San on the middle Baram, five hours overland from Miri, challenge seasoned rafters. After shooting the rapids of Tanjong Tepali, rafters fetch up at the Kenyah settlement of Long San to dry their soggy clothes, and enjoy some traditional Kenyah longhouse hospitality.
